Standing for Democracy in 2025

KCYD with Washington State Democrat Chair, Shasti Conrad and YDWA President, Austin Christoffersen

We are so back!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday for the first meeting of KCYD in 2025! After a two-year hiatus, we are thrilled to be back supporting KCYD’s mission of connecting young voices to government and empowering our members to make an impact.

Special thanks to the State Party Chair, Shasti Conrad, for joining us and talking with us about the importance of year-round organizing and sharing her wisdom about how we can continue to fight for democracy even in these dark times.

Also thank you to the campaigns of Bruce Harrell and Ry Armstrong for speaking to our members about their visions for Seattle and what they aim to accomplish if elected Mayor in 2025. Additional thank yous go to Kurt Dresner who spoke to who to us about his campaign for Kirkland City Council. In April, we will be hosting an Endorsement meeting and considering KCYD’s Endorsement in those races and others.

Lastly, this is only the start. On behalf of the entire KCYD Executive Board, we are thrilled to be back, and we look forward to joining you all on this journey.

Sincerely,

The KCYD Executive Board
